"Silenced & Loud" (Titus 2:6-10) Failing to live out the household code that overflows from grace sends a message that the saving power of God is a farce. • Gives opponents fuel to criticize • Discredits the saving power of God • Sends a cringeworthy picture When we don't let our light shine together in giving up ourselves for each other, we're vandalizing the signposts of evangelism and blaspheming God who purchased us through the death of his beloved Son. Bu because of His extravagant grace, let's unleash the power of the saving God in our life together so that more are saved and join our family. 1. Make sense of Jesus (6) 2. 8. "How Not To Blaspheme" (Titus 2:1-5) What does it mean to blaspheme the word of God? Paul is telling us that our behavior can belittle Christ and His message—the gospel. When we are being like the world we are not acting like a set-apart people and that detracts from God’s holiness. We are ambassadors for Christ on the Earth. And like an ambassador from one country to another we are to represent. The ambassador comes with his customs and characteristics representing his people and working for his country’s best interests. As Christ’s representatives, we are to imbue His characteristics to represent Him here in a country that is not our own. Not only are we not effective ambassadors if we do not share His characteristics, but we actually cast aspersions on the God we represent—we blaspheme Him. We take away from His glory.

7. "Worthless" (Titus 1:10-16) Because the Gospel of Jesus's transforming power converts whole lives and makes new people, its elders are submissive, have a weight to their words, are truthful, have words that build up whole families and provide stability, teach what they should for the sake of Christ’s honor, and are unlike the surrounding culture but are consistently truthful, godly image bearers, diligent, and serving others. Because God’ precious church and name is at stake, reprove the divisive influencers. There is no room for divisive influencers in Jesus’ communities.
